Childrens Ministry

SUNDAY SCHOOL We at Calvary Chapel South Maui take the Children’s Ministry very seriously. We are fortunate to have a large number of volunteers that are committed to seeing that  your children have a Safe, Fun, and Biblical atmosphere while you leave them in our care. All services offer child care for the nursery and toddler ages which is available at the beginning of the service. The pre school and elementary ages have a worship together in their own class at the beginning of service while the parents are worshiping in the main sanctuary. After the worship time, these two ages will separate and attend their classes for a biblical time with an instructor that has prepared a teaching with a curriculum we hope they will apply to their lives.

AWANA is the acronym for ( Approved Workman are Not Ashamed 2 Timothy 2:15) This is a Christian children’s club where we meet once a week for games, scripture memory verses and large group council times. Children are together for almost 2 hours learning group skills, individual discipline skills, and how to interact with others while still maintaining a fun and Biblical atmosphere. Three age groups are available.  3-4 year olds, Cubbies, are now meeting in the rear class/playground room.  K-2nd grade, Sparks, and 3rd – 6th grade meet in the main sanctuary. All of these clubs meet on Tuesday evenings. The older kids finished promptly at 8:15 so the kids can be picked up to go home and get ready for school the next day. The Cubbies age group finish closer to 7:30 pm.
